Gender Clinic News’ Bernard Lane says the Cass review is “relevant internationally” after it rejected prescribing children puberty blockers to treat their gender dysphoria.

Dr Hilary Cass conducted a review into the effects of prescribing children blockers and hormones, and the review is set to shift how the NHS cares for minors with gender dysphoria.

“What has happened is that the gender clinics have introduced treatments – puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones as routine before they had good evidence showing that the benefits outweigh the risks,” Mr Lane told Sky News Australia host Peta Credlin.

“When you recognise the reality of that situation – that children are being given experimental interventions, what do you do?

“This is the question that Hillary Cass is trying to answer.”
