【Macao Design Award 2025】Let the world be your stage

Launched in 1994 by the Macau Designers Association (MDA) as the Macau Design Biennial, the competition underwent continuous reforms and was officially renamed the Macau Design Awards in 2019. Over nearly three decades, it has evolved from a local design contest into an ambitious platform striving to become a professionally recognized and globally influential design competition across Asia and beyond.

Throughout its 30-year journey, the Macau Design Awards has collaborated with designers worldwide to explore emerging design trends and values. Through competitions, lectures, and exhibitions, it has showcased outstanding design works from around the globe in Macau. This initiative has fostered collective focus on design's evolving role in social development, examined creativity and efficacy in commercial markets, collaboratively analyzed market trends that define contemporary aesthetics, and promoted cross-border cooperation and cultural exchange.
