Are Personal Statements Required for Your VA Claim? Is there a better alternative? DO NOT PAY!

​Personal statements written by me, about me, had "NO" bearing on any of MY claims and I am at 100% P&T. I am rated on 12 different conditions. What truly matters is having "ALL" your medical records in order along with "Nexus" letters from YOUR doctors and possibly "buddy" letters from people that have witnessed changes in your overall physical or mental condition. I have used the VA Form 21-4138 numerous times over the years simply to turn in documents or proof to include an alternative to Personal Statements! The "4138" is highly over utilized and it is my firm belief that it simply gets lost in the shuffle when a rater is combing through your paperwork.
