In April 2024 we explored the abandoned airfield at Wittstock/Alt Daber in the German state of Brandenburg. Built by the Nazis, the airfield was taken over and used by the Red Army after World War II and has been abandoned since the Soviets left in 1994.
Over the past couple of years, many of the buildings have been demolished, but the main administration building (with the underground cinema), the hangars and the nuclear weapons depot still offered a lot of photo opportunities!
