Drum Overhead Mic Placement

Описание к видео Drum Overhead Mic Placement

In this video we take a look at how the placement of our overhead microphones can effect our drum sound. For this comparison I used two Beyerdynamic m160 ribbon microphones setup in somewhat of an NOS / ORTF stereo configuration. The microphone capsules were approximately 30cm apart around a 90 degree angle. This approach provides a wider stereo image than a traditional ORTF recording, while retaining phase coherency and our phantom center when panned hard left and right.
