The object of the game is to have as much of the stage as possible covered in your team’s ink by the end of the game.

The game is played between 2 teams of 4 players. Each team is assigned a color of ink to use and a point on the stage to start at, known as the “Spawn Point”.

Each player has a weapon kit they chose prior to the match. Weapon kits include a main weapon, sub weapon, and special weapon.

Players can use their kit to cover surfaces with their ink and attack opponents.

Players can swim through ink of their color, which increases their speed, refills their ink and health faster, and allows them to climb walls. Players cannot fire their weapons when swimming.

Getting hit with enough enemy ink or falling off the stage will splat a player. Splatted players return to the Spawn Point after incurring a short penalty.

Exactly 3 minutes after the match begins, all gameplay stops and the team whose color is covering more of the floor wins.
