"Jumanji" is a fantasy adventure film released in 1995. Directed by Joe Johnston, the movie is based on the 1981 children's book of the same name written by Chris Van Allsburg. It stars Robin Williams, Kirsten Dunst, Bonnie Hunt, Bradley Pierce, and David Alan Grier.

The story revolves around a mystical board game called Jumanji. In 1869, the game is discovered by two boys, Caleb and Benjamin, who bury it in a field, assuming that nobody should ever play it. However, years later, the game reappears in 1969, and a young boy named Alan Parrish comes across it.

Curious, Alan begins playing the game with his friend Sarah Whittle. To their shock, they realize that Jumanji is no ordinary board game but rather a magical one. Throughout their journey, the characters encounter various challenges, including dangerous creatures, quicksand, and even a deranged hunter named Van Pelt, who was unleashed by Alan's first roll of the dice. As they progress, they learn the importance of teamwork, courage, and perseverance in overcoming obstacles.

Their ultimate goal is to reach the center of the board and utter the phrase "Jumanji" to reverse all the chaos caused by the game. Along the way, they encounter Alan's father, who never recovered from his son's disappearance, and they strive to reconcile their fractured relationship.

In a climactic showdown, they manage to complete the game, reversing all the events that occurred since its inception. Alan and Sarah are transported back to the moment they first encountered Jumanji, ensuring they never played it. The Shepherd children, now free from the game's influence, continue their lives as if the adventure never happened.
