From a team with no training ground, to relegation battles in Ligue 1 to Champions League football for the first time in the club’s history, Brest sporting director Grégory Lorenzi has achieved the impossible. We sat down with the up-and-coming sporting director to talk about one of the most interesting jobs in football, what it’s really like during the transfer window, and how he managed to lead one of Europe’s most fairytale stories of the last few years.
