SFA Compliant Drawing : Singapore Food Agency - SFA

1. Drawn to a specific scale for example 1:50 or 1: 100

2. No manhole, inspection chamber, waste sump, screen chamber, grease trap or overhead sanitary/waste/drain pipes within the kitchen area.

3. Floor area in " Sq m" (square metre) of each region Dining Area Kitchen area Office & Changing Area etc

4. Kitchen area should meet the minimum of 10 Sq m. SFA requirement for the drawing.

5. Total number of floor traps and their respective location shown in the SFA drawing.

6. All kitchen equipment - size (LxBxH) to be indicated as per SFA stipulation.
Usually stainless steel or s/s refrigerator, chiller, wash basin, table top etc

7. Electrical installations - air fryer , rice cooker , deep fryer , kettle , induction cooker etc

Home Based Business

1. Home-based food businesses currently do not require an SFA licence to operate.
As of 25 April 2025 (at he time of this print)

2. Registered Licensed caterers should not run catering services from home.
For instance:
Home Based businesses are not allowed to sell their food to food retailers, such as hawker
stalls, restaurants, coffee shops, cafes, canteens, temporary fair stalls and similar establishments
licensed by the SFA.
