On August 27, 2019, Jessi Combs and her team attempted to break the women's land-speed record in Oregon's Alvord Desert. Their goal was to beat the record held since 1976 by Kitty O'Neil and establish Jessi as the fastest woman on Earth.

Jessi aimed to achieve a speed over 512 mph (824 km/h) using the North American Eagle Supersonic Speed Challenger.

Unfortunately, during her attempt to break the fastest women's land speed things went horribly wrong….
