Why Your Bird is Dropping Feathers

Molting is completely normal and will begin during their puberty. They will drop feathers a few times and regrow them until they have brought in brand new feathers. Molting mostly occurs twice a year in adults, one in spring and the other end of summer. To help their molt I recommend eggs, baths, steamy showers. They will need help on their head to preen the new feathers and break apart the shaft or the plastic like covering if they dont have a mate to help them, it becomes your job. Poor feather quality requires a trip to the vet!
