Fragment from an Unfinished Passacaglia - Dark Organ Music (Original Composition)

This is the "trailer" for the anticipated (or so it is to me) Passacaglia in C-Sharp Minor, an all-out baroque organ piece that I'm writing to specifically channel all of my musical capabilities; in other words, if I had a crown, this would be the gleaming jewel, the opus. As such, the planned twenty-four variations (only four of which are yet complete and on display) are going to contain the darkest and most blood-curdling thoughts I've ever dared to transpose into music, and it will all tie programmatically to The Mirror Reflects, something which- if I were to summarize it- is an idea of mine for a story about a prince who, basically, turns evil, stages a coup, and becomes a dictator. The first part would depict, in unbearable depth (or so I hope), the events, people, and larger societal forces which led to his radicalization and subsequent moral downfall/rise to power. But you can simply think of as being like a kind of Death Note.

This Passacaglia, correspondingly, is being tailored to this purpose. The goal is that if ever I were to imagine an anime AMV of The Mirror Reflects, it would be set to this music in its finished form. Just as the story is intended to grow darker and more twisted the longer it drags on, so also is this music. I hope you enjoy it.
