The BEST BEACH In The Caribbean | Klein Curacao Trip with BlueFinn Charters

I am excited to show this video about our trip to Klein Curacao, where you'll find one of the most beautiful beaches in the Caribbean.

We booked our trip with the company BlueFinn Charters, which offers transportation with a Catamaran boat to and from Klein Curacao. The Catamaran departs from Janthiel Beach between 8:00 and 8:30 in the morning, and you can expect to return to the main island at around 4:30 to 5:00 pm, so approximately 8 to 8 and a half hours duration for this entire trip. The boat ride itself to Klein Curacao takes around 1.5 to 2 hours, depending of course on weather conditions. You should expect more waves and currents heading towards Klein Curacao because the boat is sailing Winward meaning against the wind.

Upon arrival, you'll have the opportunity to explore the island, relax on the beach, snorkel, or dive in the surrounding waters, and even enjoy a massage for an additional cost. In the meantime, you can simply enjoy to sights of the beautiful coast of Curacao.

Before you know it, you'll arrive in Paradise. Klein Curacao is a small, uninhabited desert island located about 10 kilometers or 6 miles southeast of Curacao in the Caribbean Sea. It's known for its pristine white sandy beaches, crystal-clear turquoise waters, and excellent snorkeling and diving opportunities. Many visitors are attracted to Klein Curacao for its remote and untouched beauty. One of the highlights of visiting Klein Curacao is the chance to see its iconic lighthouse and shipwrecks on the east side. The island is also home to a variety of marine life, including colorful fish, sea turtles, and coral reefs, making it a popular destination for underwater enthusiasts.

Quick History:

The island played a part in the slave trade. When the Dutch transported slaves from Africa to Curaçao, many slaves that were sick stayed on Klein Curacao in quarantine. The slaves who did not survive were buried here at Klein Curaçao. There are several graves on the island. In 1871, a significant amount of phosphate was discovered, resulting in the mining of phosphate on the island and exporting to Europe until the year 1886.

The iconic pink lighthouse on Klein Curacao stands alone, right in the middle of the island. This one is the second lighthouse built on the island, with the previous one being destroyed by hurricanes in the year 1877. There were lighthouse keepers in the past that stayed here, but now it is abandoned and in a decayed state. The high tower is about 22 meters or 66 feet tall and has wooden stairs are still functional and safe to this day.

We didn't get the chance to venture out to the shipwreck area on the north east side of the island. But in 1982, an oil tanker named Maria Blanca Guidesman got stranded there and the remains is still visible to this day.

We had a great experience on this trip to Klein Curacao with Blue Finn Charters. Things to take into account are that although the whole trip lasts about 8.5 hours from start to finish, you will only have around 3 to 3 and a half hours at Klein Curacao. And that includes lunchtime. The boat trip to Klein curacao took more than 2 hours, more like 2 hours and 45 minutes. But the boat ride went really well, without feeling seasick. And it also depends on the weather conditions.

The departure from Klein Curacao is at 3pm. Everybody should be aboard atleast half an hour before departure. Luckily the trip to Curacao lasted only 1 hour and 40 minutes, as we sailed with the wind.
