Knit Purl Three Needle Bind-Off

KNIT AND PURL THREE NEEDLE BIND-OFF:
This is a modification of Three Needle Bind-Off, creating a simple chain along a seam line which sits up perfectly straight. It can be used for any project calling for three needle bind-off, such as shoulder seams or when joining a cowl. The technique involves using knits and pulls when binding off, rather than knitting into both stitches (K2Tog). In the K and P BO, the working wool remains in between your two needles, going into the stitch on the front needle as if to KNIT but into the back needle as if to PURL. The stitch on the back needle is then purled and the needle then comes back out the front stitch as you would for a knit stitch.
What this does is allow you to knit over a knit on the front (knit side facing you) piece and purl over a purl on the back (purl side facing you) piece. So the seam does not fall or lean to the front as it normally would when you knit two together and bind off.
I misspoke about five seconds into the video. I meant to say that you are knitting over the knit side and KNITTING (not purling) over the purl side in regular three needle bind-off.
