The Botanical Garden was established in 1921. It has been part of the memory of Taipei citizens. Many people come here to appreciate the lotus in summer and falling leaves in winter.

There are 17 districts in the garden, exhibiting various plants. The 9 ponds are also designed to grow different plants，Currently, the garden is well maintained and has over 2000+ species of plants.

As green land is far and scarce in urban area, the garen has become a popular leisure space for Taipei citizens.
The garden is next to National History Museum, Science Museum and Art Museum.

台北植物園是位於台灣台北市中正區的一座公共植物園，是台北市最大的植物園，園區內除了各類植物展區外，有熱門景點包括國定古蹟欽差行臺、市定古蹟腊葉館及仿日式木造平房南門町三二三，植物園附近有 國立歷史博物館、科學博物館和藝術博物館 其他景點。

植物園是日據時代研究植物的重要場所，占地約8公頃，保留了當時從臺灣、日本、中國大陸、東南亞引進來的試驗研究植物種，至今園區內的建築與植物種類已遠超過以往盛況，蒐羅之植物多達約2000種。

植物園自1921年設立至今，依舊是許多臺北人記憶中的一部分，是一個適合全家人休閒和散步的場所，也是瞭解植物和自然生態的好去處。
