Mount Kailash (6714m.) situated in China’s autonomous region of Tibet, is perhaps the most sacred peak in the world. Revered as Kang Rimoche by Tibetans, it is the center of worship for four world faiths: Bonpo, Buddhism, Hinduism and Jain. Hindu believe it as an abode of Hindu god and goddess, Lord Shiva and Parvati, Buddhist as dwelling of lord Buddha, Jain as a place for liberation of their first saint and Bon-Po as a Pillar of universe and the savior of entire world.
Today Tibet is visited by travelers and pilgrims from all over the world. The primary attractions of Tibet are Mount Kailash and Manasarovar Lake, its spectacular Himalayan peaks and diverse flora and fauna.

Pilgrims believe circumnavigating holy Kailash/Kangri helps one attain salvation from birth cycle by getting rid of all sins and bad deeds. The complete journey around Mt. Kailash is approximately 53km.

Manasarovar Lake, located beside Mount Kailash, is one of the highest wetlands on earth. Referred to as Mapam Yumtso by Tibetans, Mansarovar Lake is where Buddhists believe Lord Buddha meditated to get enlightenment. According to Hindu belief, dipping in this lake rids one from all worldly sins. Situated nearby Mansarovar Lake, is Rachyas Tal which is often known as Lake of demon.
