We stayed in the creepiest room at THE BLACK MONARCH HOTEL-Victor, Colorado. In the center of Victor, the renovated gothic Victorian Black Monarch Hotel and its rich history as a casino, brothel, saloon, and upscale gentleman’s club. This booming 19th-century town of almost 20,000 residences is now a near ghost town of 400.

The historic, haunted hotel features a collection of oddities, trinkets, and antique taxidermy throughout the seven themed guest rooms.

The Tesla room #3 is the largest most extravagant room measuring 612 sqft! This massive street-side corner room features 7 giant windows, 2 very plush queens size pillow top beds with mattress toppers, a 52” 4K smart tv, blue tooth sound system, coffee table, couch, 2 wingback chairs, writing desk, telescope, and mini fridge. The room over looks downtown Victor Colorado including the Lowell Thomas museum, and has amazing views of the Sangre De Cristo mountain range. All art and decorations are themed after electrical genius and innovator, Nikola Tesla, who was here in Victor, Colorado in 1899… local lore attests that Tesla wired the town- including this building!
