Yemeni tribe members have gathered in the country's capital city to show their support for the Houthis.
The rebel group is locked in a battle against the Saudi-led coalition for control of the port city of Hodeida.
STORYLINE:
Hundreds of men and their guns have gathered in Sanaa.
They are members of Yemeni tribes which support the Houthis and are protesting against the Saudi-led coalition's operation to take rebel-held Hodeida.
The port city handles 70 percent of Yemen's food imports so would be an important strategic victory for the Saudis.
Fighting has been raging there, especially close to city's airport, threatening to worsen Yemen's humanitarian situation.
The protesters have strong words for their opponents.
"Hodeida is a red line and if they proceed in this war they will find hell in Hodeida," says Ahmed el-Mahdi, a Yemeni protester.
Aid groups have repeatedly voiced fears that a protracted fight could shut down the port of Hodeida and potentially tip millions of people into starvation.
The Iranian-backed Houthi rebels have fired more than 100 missiles at Saudi Arabia in the past three years as the kingdom wages devastating airstrikes against the group. The war has killed at least 10,000 Yemeni civilians.
