Elden Ring- Angel of the Blade | Shamshir Build (NG+7)

Описание к видео Elden Ring- Angel of the Blade | Shamshir Build (NG+7)

Background: This build was inspired by a request from ‪@SaxSlaveGael‬, who asked me to try out a build using Quickstep on the Shamshir. I took the concept and made it a powerstance Curved Sword build centered around successive hits and evasion.

For this Build: This is a high Dexterity build with some Faith investment that focuses on using successive hits of the Curved Sword powerstance and the weapon skill: Quickstep in conjunction with light rolls in order to stay aggressive in close combat and avoid taking damage. This build is not about building statuses like a Scavenger's Curved Sword build or a Cold Curved Sword build, rather relying on raw physical damage and aggression to shred enemies apart. In that respect, this build is simple. The Shamshir's r1 attacks alone could stack successive hit buffs although the jump powerstance attack and running powerstance attack of the Curved Sword moveset can stack 4 hits at a time leading to very high damage very quickly. The power of this build can be amplified further by the use of Golden Vow and Flame, Grant me Strength. This covers the successive hits of this build. As for evasion, Quickstep has 15 i-frames and keeps the character in tight quarters with an enemy, which is why this is being used instead of Bloodhound's Step, which covers a lot of distance which makes it better at getting away. The whole point of this build is to stay close to maintain the attack power granted by successive hit buffs.

Relevant Stats:
Vigor: 50
Mind: 15
Endurance: 30
Strength: 8 (Shamshir's requirement is 7)
Dexterity: 80 (5 points gained from Millicent's Prosthesis)
Faith: 25 ( OPTIONAL: For Golden Vow and Flame, Grant me Strength)

Talismans:
1 and 2. Rotten Winged Sword Insignia/Millicent's Prosthesis: Raises attack power with successive hits. RWSI has a higher percentage raise, whereas Millicent's also gives +5 to Dexterity.

3. Green Turtle Talisman: Increases stamina regen by 8 per second.

4 (flex spot). Ritual Sword Talisman (increases attack power by 10% at full health) Blue Dancer Charm (increases attack power with lower equip load), Claw Talisman (increases power of jump attacks by 15%)

Physick: Thorny Cracked Tear (Raises attack power with successive hits) and Greenburst Crystal Tear (increases stamina regen, stacks with Green Turtle Talisman)

Drip: Prophet Blindfold, Goldmask's Rags, Godskin Apostle Bracelets, Snow Witch Skirt. Purely for style.

How to improve this build:
There are a few ways to improve this build despite this build already meeting the 80 cap of Dexterity. For one, the Shamshir was chosen for its r1 chain and its stylish appearance and to honor Gael's request. This build would be more powerful with dual Bandit's Curved Sword, which have 582 AR with 80 Dexterity and their minimal Strength requirement. This is 8% stronger than the Shamshir.

Of course, if we want to talk more on raw damage, Cold affinity would not be a bad choice (though the spirit of this build was to avoid statuses), at 80 Dexterity and 60 Intelligence, the Bandit's Curved Sword would have 632 AR (though this would be split damage between physical and magic). Occult Scavenger's Curved Swords would be better if focusing on a status build but that is... frankly a whole other video on its own.

As for fundamental mechanics of this build, armor with higher poise would be useful so your successive hits don't get interrupted, which would mean sacrificing light load, but if you stay with Quickstep, that's fine as it is a better dodge on paper. Endurance I would say is a higher priority than Vigor or Mind because the Curved Sword Powerstance can be pretty demanding on the stamina when trying to ramp up successive hits.
