314BHP Transporter T4 DOKA!!! 2.5 TDI VE AXG - Darkside Developments

The guys at Cali Campers (http://www.calicamper.co.uk/) set us on with this unique Transporter T4 2.5 TDI AXG project.

We don't normally work on these older engines much anymore as a lot of our development is now concentrated on the latest common rail engines however, this was an extremely clean example and the customer had a realist budget, time scale and wanted us to supply all the parts and tune.

A goal was set at 300bhp with the potential of a 14 second 1/4 mile to run in the T17 Club.

After a number of weeks, a lot of development and many hours tuning we were more than happy to have surpassed the customers goal with the following power figures:

314bhp (235kW) & 435Ft/lbs (590Nm) - With 50/50 Water Methanol
306bhp (229kW) & 420Ft/lbs (570Nm) - Diesel Only

Nitrous is also in the pipe line (excuse the pun) but the customer is going to put some miles of the van first and get a feel for how much of a kick he really needs.
