The shotgun is a short range scatter weapon that fires multiple bullets in a cone shaped spread. The shotgun delivers high burst damage and versatility when you are daring enough to get up close and personal to terrorize your enemy.

Hold fire to aim while shooting. In between shots there is a short period of time to aim for the next shot. Find your rhythm and track your target while chambering.

Anticipate upward follow-up shot. The shotgun knocks back and often times elevates your opponents who are hit up close. Anticipate and practice aiming higher on your second shot to increase your follow up shot accuracy.

Aim when reloading and equipping. When initially equipping and reloading the shotgun there is a short period of time that you may freely aim before the shotgun fires its first round from the magazine. Use this time to plan and pre-aim your shot at opponents or downward to boost.

Shoot down to jump boost. Aim straight down and fire to launch yourself upward. A well timed shot while your character still has upward momentum from jumping will result in a higher boost.

Hide in bushes and fog of war. Creating an element of surprise can produce opportunities of close quarters combat. Real players are susceptible to making mistakes reacting when caught off guard.
