Reporter: What was your inspiration?
Burch: "This year it was about how fashion and art are constantly playing off of each other, inspiring each other. A girl who goes to an art gallery. Just how I would want to dress. Taking a little bit utilitarian and mixing it with high glamor."

TORY BURCH LOOKS TO FALL
American designer Tory Burch presented her fall 2010 collection at New York fashion week Wednesday (17FEB10).
Burch says she was influenced by the blending of the art world and the fashion world and came up with looks she would want to wear to an art gallery.
Her collection ranged from studded boots, stiletto hiking boots with green laces, sequined tops, oversize jackets with fur-lined hoods and a sweater that said ''divine'' (which Burch says comes from her mother who describes things as ''divine'' all the time.) A number of items were layered but could also be worn separately on their own. There were also bold choices like paint-splattered skinny pants and a bright orange wool trouser.
Burch skipped a runway show and instead chose to have her models stand on a catwalk in a presentation format as guests observed.
Tory Burch began her fashion label in 2004 and has a loyal following. In 2008 she beat Marc Jaobs and Michael Kors for the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA), as the accessories designer of the year.
Burch says seeing women wearing her fashions never gets old:
"You know what, I see it all the time and for me I''ll never get jaded by it. It''s so exciting and I''m so honored that people would wear our clothing."
