I’m at 2000 meters above sea level exploring with the 2025 Jetour T2, one of the hottest budget cars, famous for its offroad capability, affordable pricing, and very familiar looks…here’s what I think of it.


𝗠𝘆 𝗵𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗼𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗻
Is the car worth the hype? Sort of. Is it a super cool budget car? Definitely. At $45,000, you're getting a lot of “car” for your money with AWD and great overlanding capability. While it doesn’t feel as solid as I’d like, I believe it’s more of a fancier Suzuki Jimny than a toned-down Defender Jimny/G-Class and T2/Defender lol. Approach it with low expectations, you’ll love it.


𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗦:
Comfortable ride on and offroad with great damping
2 limited slip diffs – center and rear
Tech inside is responsive and straight to the point – HUGE Apple CarPlay screen
High quality material used, genuinely feels like a high luxury car
Looks well designed and aggressive, especially when it you add accessories and lift it
10 years or 1 million kms warranty – that’s got to mean something
220 km per 20L or 11 km/L fuel consumption
PADDLE SHIFTERS!

𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗦:
Slight lag in throttle response – the car keeps on accelerating for a split second even after removing your foot off the accelerator
Not fully 4WD but AWD – no 100% locking of the diffs, it’s a limited slip diff.
Limited feedback and light steering feel

𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘁𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗱𝘀:
2L turbo 4 – 254 PS – 390 N.m – 7-speed DCT – 1,843 kg – 11 km/L (70L fuel tank) – center and rear LSD – 220 mm ground clearance

Be careful to purchase your T2 from @jetourlebanon and not from any other importer. The T2 coming from China don’t comply with GCC specs and may overheat in certain MENA regions.
