What is X-Ray Crystallography?

Описание к видео What is X-Ray Crystallography?

X-ray crystallography is currently the most favoured method of structure determination of proteins and other macromolecules. This technique aims to get 3d molecular structures from crystallized samples. The process includes purification, detection, characterization, sequence analysis, quantification, and structural analysis. X-ray crystallography may be used for drug-discovery and has been used for many other breakthrough findings in scientific research.

This video was made by McMaster Demystifying Research students Abdurahman Mohamed, Mohammad Al-Ajolouni, and Madison Hunter in collaboration with the Demystifying Research McMaster Program.
