In June 2016 we worked with Lush cosmetics to plan, curate and manage a relaxed Summer BBQ event for 500 of their international management team.

We sourced a venue, which was Upton Country Park, in particular the walled garden. This is a beautiful location, set in mature gardens, surrounded by greenery and immersed in nature. It was perfect for the client.

As the venue is a part of National Trust and is open daily as a public garden, it had some hurdles that any normal events company may have felt were difficult to work with. However, we are no normal events company!

We had to meticulously plan this set up of this event, to make sure the production and infrastructure build ran smoothly. Hurdles included gated access to the gardens no wider than 1.8 metres, a 3.5 tonne weight limit across the gate, the nearest artic lorry access being 300 yards away and trackway to be used on all lawned areas. Over 300 tonnes of equipment had to be manoeuvred into place very carefully, and following all plans. It was a tough job.

The infrastructure (flooring, marquees, generators, toilets, distribution etc) was built across a two day period, and we then started work on decoration, AV, sound & lighting, bars, furniture, catering, entertainment, staffing, security and management of the event.

The theme was a relaxed Summer BBQ, with garden games, a sumptuous vegetarian and vegan BBQ, entertainment, live music and fantastic cocktails.

Guests attended from all over the world, and we had incredible feedback.
