After trading with major gains, the Indian indices are experiencing a moment of lull. The Nifty index, after rising with gains of over 150 points, is now trading below 24,850. The Sensex index is trading above the 80,900 mark, with an uptick of over 350 points, after gaining over 600 points earlier in the day.

The Nifty Bank index is fighting to hold its ground after a period of decline. The banking index is trading in green with a rise of 0.24%.
