Mahatma Gandhi, the legendary figure of Indian political history, came to Noakhali to appease the violence between Hindu-Muslim. The prominent character of Noakhali riot was Gholam Sarwar Husseini for the Muslim. During the visit Gandhi took his goat with him for milk. But it was stolen by the Mia Bhahini of Husseini and presented it as a dish before Mahatma Gandhi. By thus Muslim wanted to show the valor toward Hindus.
