During my time in Athens I stayed at the Herodion Hotel. This is a 4* luxury hotel situated in the centre of Athens. One of the things I loved the most about this hotel is the location, as it is literally just a 10-15 minute walk to the Acropolis, and an even shorter walk to the Acropolis Museum.

I booked this hotel as part of a flight + hotel combo through British Airways directly. I had breakfast included each morning as part of the deal. It was a great breakfast and there was a big selection of food to choose from. Be sure to get down there early as the restaurant can fill up pretty quickly as the morning progresses and sometimes it can be difficult to get a table.

I also loved the two hydromassage tubs (jacuzzi tubs) located on the roof terrace of the hotel. You can get a breathtaking view of the Acropolis from this terrace and from both jacuzzis. I made sure I went in these jacuzzis in the morning and in the evening so I could see the Acropolis during the day and lit up at night. For me this was the highlight of my stay at Herodion Hotel and definitely one of the top highlights of my trip.
