SUPERIOR VENA CAVA -

Описание к видео SUPERIOR VENA CAVA -

The superior vena cava is considered to be a huge vein thanks to its length of around 7 centimeters and its wide diameter that can reach up to 2 centimeters.
The union of the left and right brachiocephalic veins, which occurs posterior to the first right costal cartilage, is the origin of this structure. Through the superior mediastinum, behind the intercostal gaps, and to the right of the aorta and trachea, it descends in a vertical direction.
A fibrous pericardium surrounds the SVC when it enters the middle mediastinum at the level of the second costal cartilage. This occurs when the SVC enters the middle mediastinum. The third costal cartilage is the point at which it empties into the superior aspect of the right atrium, which is the final destination of this blood vessel.#anatomy
