Greetings cloth diaper enthusiasts! In this tutorial I'll show you one of the most simplest methods of stripping cloth diapers. Stripping is when you attempt to resolve a build up or bacteria issue with your diapers by thoroughly cleaning or stripping the fabric. Firstly, stripping should always be a last resort... be sure to run your diapers through a hot wash cycle with adequate detergent and contact your diaper manufacturer and ask them how to solve the apparent problem you are having with your diaper and they can advise you further. Many other stripping methods will actually void your warranty, so while this is one of the safer methods it still pays to do your research.

Remember to be careful if your baby is taking a course of antibiotics (or if you are and you are breastfeeding a cloth diapered baby) as bacteria which cause a thrush/yeast infection can become a problem, be sure to strip your diapers and consider using disposable nappies whilst you/your child is on antibiotics or has a thrush/yeast infection, as the bacteria can harbor in the cloth diaper.
