Supplements can serve a purpose and fill gaps in the diet where you lack. But they should not replace meals.

For context: In clinical dietetics, supplements are used to help patients meet specific nutrition needs they cannot get from actual food, or are used in tube feeding / intravenous (IV) feeding to ensure adequate nutrition.
