Interview How To's: Nailing an Interview for a Visual Merchandising Position

In today's merchandising video, I explain what you can expect during an interview for a visual merchandising position. I talk about typical questions you'll probably hear, how to dress to impress, and how to nail that interview. This info is mixed with average interviewing knowledge as well as personal experience.
Here are my tips at a glance:
1. Dress to impress! Because the first thing an employer sees is how you present yourself.
2. Have a portfolio ready! Show off your past impressive work from previous employment as a merchandiser.
3. Have experience stories ready! Employers will want to hear how you manage leadership skills in hypothetical situations, and how you've navigated through merchandising during your career. (Mention any schooling and/or hands on experience you've had).
4. Be passionate about the brand! Don't apply for a brand you could care less about-your displays will reflect your enthusiasm.
5.Be confident! Explain why you're a good fit for the brand, and how you could help their company grow.
