Cinema 4D Tutorial - Alternative Random Effector Trick

Описание к видео Cinema 4D Tutorial - Alternative Random Effector Trick

~ UPDATE: A viewer linked me to an old tutorial from Simon Holmedal https://vimeo.com/19372002 demonstrating this exact technique, but he goes into even further detail of ways to use Falloff to effect the distortion. Be sure to check that out as well! ~

Here's a short tutorial showing a unique way to use the Random Effector to distort a standard primitive object without using a MoGraph Cloner. This trick could be a great addition to any medical or science animators out there, and it does an amazing job at distorting large planes into smooth flowing ocean swells.

I also give a simple breakdown of what the Fresnel Shader is actually doing when we apply it to a reflection channel, and set up an HDRI reflection map and a simple Background Environment.

I also rant a bit about people stealing content and posting stolen tutorials without permission. Please, I urge everyone out there to take the time to watch the original videos from the content author. We work very hard to bring this free content to the community and all we're asking is if the name in the video doesn't match the channel, take a few moments to search for the original so the author gets some well-deserved recognition. THANKS!
