22nd entry of my semi-daily practice of drone sketches using the East Beast subtractive semi-modular synthesizer by Cre8audio.

PATCH AND PERFORMANCE NOTES:
Oscillator is set to Square
Filter is set to LPF
LFO Out is patched to PWM In
(LFO is internally routed to FM Mod)
Multi is set to Random Voltage synced 1:1 with the internal Clock
Random Voltage Out is patched to Filter Mod In

I initially started with the LFO cranked to audio rate. The depth of the opening sound, however, inspired me to take this drone in a deeper, slower direction (especially considering how quick the random voltages were being sent to the Filter Mod was). As a result, I quickly switched the LFO down to its lower range and let it gently move the pitch and pulse width modulation. It's a relatively simple patch that comes to life well over the course of the recording, given proper space and depth by Valhalla Supermassive (which is free) and Shimmer (super affordable. Maybe the best effect I've grabbed over the years with the slight exception of HX Native for guitars--and synths!).
