I FINALLY photographed some Wood Ducks! Things I consider when I set out to photograph wildlife

We all have those species that we always dream about photographing. For me, Wood Ducks have long been one of those species. Even before I was completely addicted to Duck and Waterfowl photography, Wood Ducks have been on that list. Wood Ducks are, in my opinion, one of North America's most beautiful Ducks. Unlike most other Duck species, Wood Ducks nest in tree cavities. As I set out recently one morning, I was able to spot some Wood Ducks in some trees overlooking the river. These Ducks were occupied by looking for potential tree holes to nest in. After observing this behavior and trying my best to learn their habits and patterns over the next couple of days, I came up with a plan to photograph these shy, beautiful birds. Follow along with me this week as I set out to photograph one of North America's most beautiful species of Ducks!
