A toxic haze has engulfed the national capital with average AQI soaring to 373 and at least 12 monitoring stations recording ‘severe’ air quality. Dense fog has further worsened conditions, prompting the IMD to issue a red alert for Delhi and Noida. Visibility has dropped to around 100 metres in several areas, while Delhi Airport has warned flyers of possible delays and cancellations due to fog.
