Best Aquarium Store in Ohio, Gerber's Tropical Fish Store, Part One Freshwater

Good Aquarium Stores are hard to find. Gerber’s nails it. What I like about his store is he an actual store with a real owner and not some chain that sell the same garbage fish in every store. It’s called Gerber’s and you get to talk with “John Gerber” He’s a real deal owner who has been doing it and made it work for 27 years.

He’s got a selection of the kinds of fish that you simply can’t get in the local chains that have somehow managed to run so many great shops out of business. I am thrilled to be showing you all his store. I called John up awhile back and told him I’d be dropping my kids off up that way and to get me some cool plants. He told me my timing was perfect because he had just dumped a bunch of money in his freshwater side which, as you can see- was money well spent. I always love to support a guy like this who will get in the fish that, let’s be honest, “the fish you didn’t know you wanted” I ended up pulling out that shubunkin goldfish and forgot to pick up a Betta fish that was also equally hot. I am impressed with his new setup and filtration and I think you will be too. Supporting guys like him is critical for the hobby to remain, he’s doing just fine, but is worth repeating, places like this make the hobby- and YOU better. I don’t think he mentioned this in the video but he does FREE Water Tests. Not only that, but they can tell you what to do to fix it. If you are anywhere near Dayton Ohio – or even if you are not, it is worth the trip to Gerbers
