2026 Bugatti Tourbillon Revealed With 1800 Horsepower

Bugatti has unveiled its next-generation hypercar, the Tourbillon, which is not another derivative of the Bugatti Chiron. While it may resemble the previous W-16-powered model, the Tourbillon is an entirely new creation featuring a new monocoque, new suspension, and a hybrid V-16 powertrain. This latest Bugatti flagship boasts an astounding 1,800 horsepower.

The heart of the Tourbillon is an 8.3-liter naturally aspirated V-16 engine that produces 1,000 horsepower at 9,000 revolutions per minute, developed with assistance from Cosworth. This engine, despite its size, weighs just 555 pounds and delivers 664 pound-feet of torque. Complementing this powerhouse is a hybrid system featuring a front e-axle with two electric motors and a third motor at the rear, powered by a 25 kilowatt-hour centrally mounted battery pack. This setup adds 800 horsepower, resulting in a combined output of 1,800 horsepower. This immense power enables the Tourbillon to accelerate from zero to 62 miles per hour in just 2.0 seconds.

However, the true performance of the Tourbillon is better understood through other metrics. It reaches 124 miles per hour in approximately 5.0 seconds and 186 miles per hour in just 10 seconds. The top speed is 236 miles per hour, but with the special Speed Key, it can reach 276 miles per hour.

Despite incorporating a battery pack and electric motors, the Tourbillon is lighter than the Chiron and offers an estimated electric-only range of 37 miles. The vehicle features an 800-volt system, overseen by Bugatti’s CEO Mate Rimac, who is renowned for his expertise in electric performance.

The Tourbillon's interior showcases stunning analog craftsmanship, with gauges crafted by Switch watchmakers and a hidden digital screen that can be activated to access Apple CarPlay. The design includes a Chiron-inspired exterior with a special diffuser, vents under the headlights, a horseshoe grille, and an active rear wing.

Bugatti plans to begin deliveries in 2026, producing only 250 units of this exceptional car, each priced at 3.6 million Euros (approximately 3.9 million dollars).
