I head out on my sib in the middle of winter with Squid, Herring and Mackerel for bait. We've had calm weather with flat seas recently around the Essex coast, so Thornback Rays were my main target, but I was just happy to be out and not blanking!
I also had an on-the-water bait delivery of fresh Herring from the Pros! what more could you ask for?
