Enhanced Data Flow in AWS Step Functions

Developers have to take extra steps and transitions to identify state data and pass data from state to state. Extra transitions and complicated JSON Path queries are often required. AWS Step Functions is reducing this friction by introducing two new features. Variables for maintaining data across multiple states, and JSONata support for powerful json querying. In this video I cover how to use these features together to build more efficient state machines while reducing complexity and cost.
