He walks us through his home and shares his building journey and the cost from the foundation to its current state. Construction started in December 2021 so some of these costs may be outdated but they can still give you an idea of how much to start putting down towards your home. You can also use this as a base to estimate how much you would spend to build larger homes. We show you exactly how to use this 1 bed to cost the build for a 2 bed, 3 bed, 4 bed etc. at the end of this video.
We cover the costs of the preliminary works, substructure, superstructure, finishing etc. He also shares some lessons learned and discusses building an off-grid home with solar power and rainwater harvesting, as well as why he chose a remote location for his home.
