I thought it would be fun to paint Beethoven enjoying himself at a Christmas party for the album cover of my song Merry Christmas Beethoven. Merry Christmas Beethoven is a piece I composed and produced in the style of a classical trumpet concerto. I recorded myself painting and sped it up for this video. I’ve taken to recording myself painting. Not only does this provide proof that I’m not using generative AI, but it also gives people a view of how people paint things digitally by hand. Hopefully future generations, who will likely exclusively use generative AI for all art and never learn to paint themselves, can look back with interest on how people used to make art without generative AI.

Also featured are other music releases of mine including Dreaming in the Snow, a piece I composed for a Christmas recital held at a local church. It features my sister playing the cello. World Rhapsody is a solo piano piece I composed and performed for my high school homeschool graduation.

To produce my music, I use musicians and virtual instruments that I either perform or meticulously program in a digital audio workstation (DAW) program. Most of these virtual instruments work by taking thousands of recordings of the individual notes from real instruments and packaging them in software that allows one to play that instrument on a keyboard. These are called sample libraries. If you are interested in learning about them and where to buy them check out my playlist here:    • Sample Libraries
