Orla’s first full quarter with Musselwhite made a huge impact. Revenue tripled to $264M as gold sales more than doubled and higher prices pushed earnings up sharply. Net income nearly doubled to $48M and cash flow improved across the board. Musselwhite added over 52,000 ounces, lifting total production to a record 78,000 ounces, even as costs climbed.
The momentum was dampened by a pit wall collapse at Camino Rojo in July, which forced a guidance cut. Annual output there is now pegged at 95–105k ounces, with costs also moving higher. Even so, Orla’s overall profile has changed dramatically with Musselwhite, and despite the setback, the company looks stronger than a year ago.
