I was and still am a massive fan of Void Destroyer, but it was such a tough game. It's STILL on my list of things to come back to. However, Void Destroyer 2 has a lot of the same things that made VD 1 great, plus it goes in a different direction. Instead of starting you off with a "capital" ship or a main big ship that constructs things like Repair bays, other ships, and more, you start with a small ship. Gone is the linear storyline and now the world is your "oyster" so to speak. Open world, much like the X series of games, or Freelancer from back in the day. Play how you want, build your fleet up, and enjoy. First/Third person space combat with a single vessel with the ability to control an entire fleet with RTS, or jump to, and pilot, any ship you own. This is going to be great!
