The 1960 MGA gets carpet, part 2

Описание к видео The 1960 MGA gets carpet, part 2

We’re back to the 1960 MGA interior this week. After the hassles of covering and fitting the door rails we thought we would move on to the next problem area…the carpet on the side rails. As we discussed last time, the carpet kit that we have to work with just isn’t cut the best to fit and leaves us very little extra to trim away. That makes it even harder to piece in anywhere that really needs it due to the shortage on the patterning. After cutting the carpet piece apart to aid in fitment, we discuss some tricks to get it all to lay correctly and cover all that it needs to. We then go on to install the footwell side panel and discuss the next steps to tackle the transmission tunnel carpet and how to glue it down so that it’s still possible to easily service the shifter in the future if needed without much fuss. Next time we’ll finish installing the carpet and get the seats in so we’ll be one step closer to getting this car on Bring A Trailer to be sold for the owners estate.
