In this episode of “Will 2 Win: Overcoming Long COVID,” Jillian Angeline speaks with Dr. Philip McMillan, a physician and researcher from the United Kingdom.

McMillan explains how his research with dementia led him to start studying the COVID virus back in February 2020. He talks about his current work with a small team of professors about three specific facets of the virus and what they all have in common. Dr. McMillan also provides a hopeful message about full healing from Long COVID and other diseases. Dr. McMillan does emphasize healing is a journey and there is no overnight solution, so patience is key for anyone on the road to recovery.

Jillian’s goal is to spread awareness about Long COVID, which is affecting hundreds of millions of people worldwide. In her episodes, she'll be talking with doctors on the front lines of the battle to solve the virus' mysteries.

As for the show's name, Jillian has had an unstoppable "will to win" her pre-COVID life back, as do other patients she has spoken to through the years. The researchers and doctors on the front lines have a "will to win" the fight.The central part of the logo is the sun. Jillian has always loved sunshine. The sun represents freedom, good health, growth and just happy times.

Jillian joined the broadcast industry at just seven years old. From the halls of Capitol Hill in D.C. to the streets of New York City, from the Mariana Islands in the Pacific to Jordan in the Middle East, she would often shoot video footage, write scripts, edit stories, post on social media and appear on camera, all in a day’s work.
