If you are co-owner in an agriculture land and now want to saperate your land with other co owners, you have to file a case for partition before the competent forum. The cases of partition are filed in Civil Courts and also in Revenue Courts but the correct forum for filing Application for partition regarding agriculture land is the Revenue Court (usually Tehsildar). however, if the land required to be partitioned is of residential in nature or commercial , the suit for partition can be filed in Civil Court.
