Hi, I am Daniel with etrailer, and today we're gonna be taking a look at the Curt Hitch on our 2025 Nissan Rogue. And if you do decide to get this hitch on your Rogue, make sure to leave a comment or review and let us know how it's working for you. Having a hitch installed on your Nissan Rogue is a great option if you're planning on towing smaller trailers, having a bike rack or even a cargo carrier. This hitch has a nice, low profile look on this vehicle. It is pretty far back behind the bumper, and these cross beams here are up behind the fascia. It also has a nice, shiny black finish.

So this hitch does have a two inch opening that will accommodate most of your accessories. It does also have a five eights pin hole that you put your hitch pin in. And these do not come with the hitch, but you can pick one up or it usually comes with your accessory. And the safety chain loops will accommodate an S hook or a clevis. So now I'm gonna go ahead and give you a couple measurements here.

From the ground to the top of our inlet here is about 12 inches, which isn't too bad, but for some accessories, you may want a bit of a rise, so that is something to keep in mind. And from our middle of our pin insert here to the outermost of our bumper is about eight inches. So that's good to keep in mind if you do have any folding accessories and you don't want them touching your bumper. Hitch has a total towing capacity of 3,500 pounds. That is a trailer, plus what is ever loaded in it.

It also has a tongue weight capacity of 525 pounds, and that is a total weight of pressure going down in this direction. Overall, this hitch is very simple to install. It just slides up right under there and has four bolts that are threaded into the mainframe. But if you don't have the time to do it yourself, feel free to reach out to our dealer locator and we can find someone who can do it for you. But without further ado, let's get into the install.

To begin our installation, I'm gonna take this silicone spray and spray it where our bolts are gonna thread into. And give it a scrub just so it gets all those debris out of there. Once you have all of them cleaned out, I like to put a bolt through and just make sure that we're gonna have a clean hole there when we put our hitch on. (drill whirls) Once you've cleared out all those holes, I'm gonna put the washer on the bolt this way with the teeth facing inward. So that'll bite in when you're tightening that down. Put our hitch into place here between the fascia and the exhaust. Let me just apply a slight pressure to get it up there. Now we're just gonna get these front two hand tight as well as the back two to get it in place. And once you get all four of those hand tight, you wanna come back in with a three quarters inch socket and tighten 'em the rest of the way. (drill whirls) You're gonna want to torque 'em down to the specs in the instructions. If you don't have a torque wrench, we do sell 'em here at etrailer, or you can rent one from your local auto parts store. But I'm gonna get those torqued down. That's it for our install.
