why is reality tv so bad ?

i feel like reality tv has changed for the worst and focuses too much on the drama while trying to create as many toxic situations as possible. dating around was one of netflix best dating shows in my opinion and got no real shine. the show reminded me of fantastic work like Love Life and One Day. i want these types of shows back
