Careless and dangerous driving: Careless and dangerous driving It is an offence to drive in public places without due care and attention. If you drive a defective vehicle or one that, due to its condition, poses a danger to the general public, the penalty is a fine of up to 5,000 euros, a prison sentence or three months.
